N2  - The German Federal Centre for Health Education (Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung|BzgA) published its latest research report on gambling behavior and addiction in Germany dated February 15th, 2018 in June of this year. Currently there are no indications that the problematic of pathological gambling is increasing in Germany. However, what is striking is that the substitutes for regulated games of chance in commercial amusement arcades have particularly high proportions of problematic or pathological players. These include in particular internet casino games and slot machines in state owned public casinos.
