Student Activation in iOER Maker Spaces

  • Interactive Open Educational Resources (iOER) package both information and software to interact with its information in a single component. In Maker Spaces students are following their own ideas, building individual products in small projects, learning about production skills and appropriate machinery. This paper describes concepts and implementation of iOER Maker Spaces based on advanced web technologies, how they contribute to student activation and finally reports on our practical results. iOER Maker Spaces contribute to the societal task of enriching our digital common good.
