Motion parameters estimation of moving objects and ego motion applying an active camera system

  • An approach to motion parameters estimation of objects and parameters of ego motion by using active camera system is proposed. Motion estimation is performed through instantaneous frequency estimation in the regions of interest. In this way, a 3-D problem is reduced to a one-dimensional case. The spectrogram and the S-method are used for instantaneous frequency estimation. Function of support in time-frequency plane is introduced to reduce the analysis to the specified time-frequency region. Theory is illustrated by an example.
