The development and operation of 4GREAT was financed by resources from the MPI fur Radioastronomie and the Universitat zu Koln, and by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft within the grant for the Collaborative Research Center 956 as well as by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWI) via the German Space Agency (DLR) under Grant 50OK1102, Grant 50 OK 1103 and Grant 50 OK 1104. GREAT development is supported through Collaborative Research Center 956 (Project ID 184018867), funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). SOFIA is jointly operated by the Universities Space Research Association, Inc. (USRA), under NASA Contract NNA17BF53C and the Deutsches SOFIA Institute under DLR Contract 50 OK0901 to the University of Stuttgart. Themixers for Channel 1 of the 4GREAT (4G-1) instrument have been designed and developed by LERMA (Observatoire de Paris, CNRS, Sorbonne Universite, Universite de Cergy-Pontoise) in the framework of the Herschel/HIFI project, with support from CNES. Part of this research was carried out at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, under a contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
